It’s a passion of mine to show in season. Urban Zen is about living in the moment. It’s about being present with yourself and layering on timeless key pieces – jersey, sweaters, t-shirts, skinny pants: the essential elements of what we wear.

In the frenzy of season-forward Fashion Week, Urban Zen offers an opportunity to not just be in the now, but wear in the now: we show in season. I want people to come in and experience the timeless designs that are perfect for this moment.

The new collection is inspired by sculpture and it’s all about connection. Connecting the body. Connecting cultures. Connecting modern with tribal, comfort with texture. It’s very dimensional – cozy coats, heavy sweaters, a lot of collar interest. We’ve created beautiful t-shirt dressing and the color direction is all environmental, metal, industrial. Our collaboration with Haitian artisans has continued to evolve and elevate. The feeling is more warrior-like; it’s modern tribal that allows urban culture to shine.

Urban Zen is always in season. We’re showing fall in fall. Not only to the press, but to the consumer. I believe in the power of being present and I have designed Urban Zen as a collection that satisfies the desire to be in the now.
